State Representative and Author Alisha Thomas Morgan On Her Book “No Apologies”

The Spelman College Alumna and sassy State Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan entertained over 100 friends, supporters and constituents during a book signing for her first work, “No Apologies.” To kick off this amazing accomplishment, radio personality Rashan Ali, led Representative Thomas through a heartfelt Q&A that touched on balancing work,motherhood, and wifedom, accepting your role as a leader and why you shouldn’t apologize for claiming your destiny. Held at the Loudermilk Center, the event was attended by a prestigious array of Atlanta public figures inlcluding Lisa Borders, Councilman Kwanza Hall and Mayor Kasim Reed.

Join the Atlanta Chapter of the Alliance for Women in Media, for their fall social to benefit My Sister’s House. On Thursday, October 7, from 6p-9p, East Andrews Cafe & Bar will play host with entertainment provided by Ashley Harris.

Admission is an article of clothing, shoes, toiletries, linens, laundry supplies, or cash donation to My Sister’s House.

There is free parking, free appetizers and a cash bar, come out for a good time, a good cause and some great networking!

Alliance for Women in Media is a non profit organziation consisting of professionals in electronic and traditional media. Support their campaign to heal, counsel and house women and children in the Atlanta community through the efforts of My Sisters House.
